MGM Resorts International Teams up with Major League Baseball
Both parties are teaming up on an “all-inclusive partnership agreement that combines the MLB brand with MGM Resorts and playMGM brands across league and team sponsorships”.
The deal also includes “data usage in gaming, promotion across MLB-owned media platforms, and domestic and international activations at MLB events”.
The multi-year agreement makes MGM Resorts International the leagues first-ever Official Gaming Partner.
H&M Shuts Down its Cheap Monday Brand
The multinational clothing retail company announced that it’s closing the brand due to struggling sales as a result of its traditional wholesale business model; a model which has “faced major challenges due to the shift in the industry”.
According to the company, approximately 80 employees are affected by the shutdown.
H&M stated that the closure is expected to be complete by June 30th, 2019.
Accenture Opens a Canadian Innovation Hub
The global management consulting firm announced that it’s opening a new innovation hub located in downtown Toronto.
The new office looks to “help clients grow, compete and transform in the digital economy”. The location is designed to help clients work with the firm to ideate, prototype, and scale new products and services.
Accenture also stated in a company press release that it will be “adding 800 new, highly skilled technology jobs by the end of 2020 and expanding its apprenticeship program”.
