Google Plans to Open a Data Center in Nevada

The technology giant announced that the new data center is part of its plan to invest $13 billion to expand data centers and offices across the United States.

The company recently unveiled plans to expand into two new office locations in Michigan, and data centers in Oklahoma and Texas.

Google stated that the $600 million Nevada location is expected to create new jobs in the state, and better support its users in the region.

Calm Raises New Funds

The mental wellness app raised $27 million in new capital. According to TechCrunch the new funds were an extension to its $88 million Series B round last February.

The 65-person team looks to continue to double down on its exclusive content, invest in its brand and focus on international expansion.

According to a Lightspeed Ventures blog post, the app has over 50 million downloads and close to 2 million paid subscribers.

Twitch Looks to Launch a Shopping Channel Specifically for Amazon Prime Day

The live streaming platform announced that it will be hosting a live shopping show called Twitch Sells Out. The live show will air during the Amazon Prime Day sales event on July 15th, and 16th.

The live program will be showcasing deals from kitchen wear to games to electronics specifically curated for the Twitch community.

Amazon Prime Day is the annual sales event exclusive to Amazon Prime Members.
