Unilever Acquires an Eco-Friendly Home Cleaning Products Company
The consumer goods company announced that it’s acquiring The Laundress, a company that focuses on eco-friendly detergent, fabric care, and home cleaning goods.
Since 2004, The Laundress has developed a distribution network across several specialty retailers, a direct-to-consumer, and e-commerce offering.
As part of the deal, the company will continue to operate out of its New York City headquarters. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The file hosting company announced that it’s acquiring HelloSign, an e-signature and document workflow platform.
According to a company press release, HelloSign worked with over 80,000 organizations at the time of acquisition.
The $230-million cash deal is expected to close before Q1 of 2019.
Samsung Plans to Replace Plastic Packaging with Sustainable Materials

The company announced in a press release that it plans to “replace plastic packaging materials with paper and other environmentally sustainable elements” starting this year.
In order to move forward with the new policy, the company has developed a sustainability task force that will be focused on purchasing, designing and developing innovative eco-friendly packaging.
