Marriott Plans to Bring the Ritz-Carlton Brand to the Pacific Northwest
The hospitality company stated that it’s working with BPM Real Estate Group, a real estate development firm based in Portland, Oregon, to bring the Ritz-Carlton brand to Portland.
As part of the deal, “the brand would manage 251 hotel rooms and 138 residential units”. The hotel and residences would be part of a planned mixed use tower which would also house a “high-end office space, retail space and a ground-level food hall.”
The hotel is expected to open in 2023 with construction planned for later this year.
JetBlue Plans to Expand its Destinations to Europe
The airliner announced that it plans to convert some of its Airbus orders to its latest version of fuel efficient, long range aircraft. JetBlue stated that it plans to switch 13 of its existing aircraft orders with Airbus’s A321XLR models.
The move looks to help the airline expand to more destinations in Europe from New York, and Boston.
Delivery is expected to begin in 2023.

Tamara Mellon, a female founded fashion brand, announced that it’s raising $50 million in Series C financing led by Centricus, a London-based firm.
The company plans to use the funds for retail expansion, manufacturing, and continued brand investments. The brand also plans to grow its team from 40 to 60 employees by the end of the year.
