DoorDash Teams up with General Motors
The on-demand delivery company announced that it’s teaming up with General Motors Cruise Automation to offer autonomous deliveries.
According to a company blog post, the purpose of the pilot is to determine technical and infrastructure challenges, its impact on merchants and customers, and understand the quality of delivery associated with autonomous deliveries.
The pilot launch will be in San Francisco beginning in March of this year.
Whirlpool Expands Mobile Connectivity
The multinational home appliance manufacturer announced that it’s “extending the mobile watch functionality of its connected appliances to include Wear OS by Google in 2019.”
The functionality will allow Android users to communicate with their appliances while away from home which includes: oven status, control washing options of an active washer cycle, and the control and detection of the start of an active dryer cycle.
FootLocker Invests $3 Million into Super Heroic
The specialty athletic retailer announced that has made a strategic investment in Super Heroic, a children’s footwear company.
As part of the $3 million Series Seed II investment, “Kids Foot Locker will be the first brick-and-mortar retailer of Super Heroic products in the U.S.”
