Today marks the first day that recreational cannabis is legal in Canada.
Individuals over the age of 18 can possess up to 30 grams of legal cannabis in its dried or “equivalent non-dried form”, cultivate a maximum of four plants in their own residence, and prepare edibles for personal consumption.
The country is the first G7 nation to legalize recreational marijuana.
Zillow Launches in Canada
Zillow, a platform for real estate and rental market sales in the United States, announced that it’s rolling out Canadian real estate listings through its mobile app and website.
The company has developed strong partnerships with brokerages and hundreds of MLSs in the United States and plans to replicate the model in Canada.
According to the company, its platform “attracts a global audience of home shoppers, receiving more than 100 million visits a year from non-U.S. audiences.”
Lyft Launches a Subscription Plan

Lyft announced that it’s launching a subscription program at $299 per month which includes 30 rides covered up to $15 per trip. Customers who exceed the $15 cap will pay the difference if the ride exceeds the amount.
The company stated that the subscription plan applies to all ride types, but does “not roll over to the following period.”
The Lyft All-Access plan will be available to all customers in the United States by the end of the week.
