Autodesk Acquires a Construction Productivity Software Company
The 3D design, engineering & entertainment software company announced that it “has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PlanGrid, a leading provider of construction productivity software”.
The $875 million deal looks to boost Autodesk’s cloud-based construction platform. Plangrid lets stakeholders such as contractors, subcontractors, and project owners collaborate in real-time.
The transaction is expected to close by January 31st, 2019.

The plant-based meat substitute company filed an S-1 form with the Securities and Exchange Commission last week.
The Los Angeles-based company, which was founded in 2009, has its plant-based products available in over 10,000 restaurants, hotels, and universities. It looks to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Market.

Samsung Launches a New Product for Farmers
The multinational technology company announced that it’s launching a new horticulture product line that is “optimized for lighting in greenhouses and vertical farming”.
According to a company press release, the “new horticulture LEDs are designed to promote healthier plant growth and enhance farming conditions for indoor growers”.
The modules will be available worldwide in the first quarter of 2019.
