Chipotle Launches its Loyalty Program
The fast-casual restaurant chain announced that it’s launching its Chipotle Rewards program across the United States.
To help promote the new program, Chipotle will use “Venmo payouts to give away up to a quarter of a million dollars, to approximately 25,000 Chipotle fans per day, from now through March 15, 2019.”
The Chipotle loyalty program gives members the opportunity to earn “10 points for every $1 spent in the restaurant, online, or in the app.” Reward members will have access to promotions such as extra point days, and surprise birthday rewards.
Mastercard Acquires Ethoca
The financial services company announced that it’s acquiring the e-commerce fraud protection company for an undisclosed amount.
According to a company press release, the deal will help Mastercard “drive greater protection in the digital space, integrating with its robust suite of fraud management and security products.”
Ethoca works with approximately 5,000 merchants and 4,000 financial institutions around the globe in providing “technology solutions that help merchants and card issuers collaborate in real-time to quickly identify and resolve fraud in digital commerce.”
The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2019.
Home Depot Develops Technology to Assist in Hiring 80,000 Associates
The home improvement retailer announced that it has developed in-house technology to assist with the hiring process of approximately 80,000 associates for what is expected to be a busy spring season.
According to a company press release, the technology will help “hiring teams move candidates through the hiring process faster” across approximately “2,000 U.S. stores and more than 100 distribution centers.”
