Amazon Looks to Set-up Shopping Lockers at Coachella
The eCommerce marketplace announced that it will open Amazon Lockers at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this April.
The lockers are to provide attendees with a convenient and secure delivery option for extra items they may need such as sunscreen, phone chargers, and sandals.
According to a press release, customers will be able to shop for items and “select one of the Amazon Lockers at Coachella as their shipping address. Once their package is ready for pickup, customers will receive an e-mail along with a barcode that they’ll use to pick up their package.”
Redfin Launches in Canada
The tech-enabled real estate brokerage announced that has begun serving home buyers and sellers in the Greater Toronto region.
The company also stated that it expects to launch its services in Vancouver by the Spring with additional Canadian cities expected in the rollout.
According to a company press release, Redfin looks to “sell homes for just a 1 percent listing fee and refund a portion of its commission to its home-buying clients.”
Garmin Acquires an Indoor Bike Trainer Company
The GPS technology company has signed a purchase agreement to acquire Tacx, a manufacturer of indoor bike trainers.
The privately-held Dutch company focuses on indoor bike trainers, tools, and software.
According to a Garmin press release, approximately 200 Tacx employees will join its global team. Financial terms of the deal, which is expected to close by Q2 of this year, were not disclosed.
