Air Canada Expands its Acceptance of Alipay and WeChat Pay

The airline announced that Alipay and WeChat Pay are now available as payment choices when customers book through its North American and Hong Kong websites.

Both Alipay and WeChat Pay are eWallet services with users primarily based in China.

Air Canada is amongst the first North American carriers to offer the payment options in North America.


Tinder Launches a Service Specifically for College Students

The dating network announced that it’s launching Tinder U, a service for college students.

First-time users will need to sign-up with a .edu email address to be able to access the feature.

The new service is available to iOS users attending 4-year, accredited, not-for-profit schools in the U.S.


Uber Announces a New Chief Financial Officer

The tech giant announced that it has appointed Nelson Chai as its new CFO.

Chai joins Uber from the Chicago-based Warranty Group, an insurance and warranty provider, where he was CEO. He also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Merrill Lynch and held roles in CIT Group, NYSE Euronext, and Archipelago Holdings.

CNBC reports that Chai joins the company at a time when it reportedly prepares to go public in 2019.
