Walmart Teams up with Google
The retail giant announced that it’s launching Walmart Voice Order, a service that enables its customers to shop via voice using the Google Assistant available on Google Home Hub, Android phones, Watches, and iPhones.
Starting this month, US-based customers will be able to place orders such as milk directly to their online Walmart Grocery Cart, where customers can then choose to pick up their items at the store or have them delivered.
The company stated that it plans to expand shopping options for its customers by integrating with other voice-enabled systems in the future.
Zillow Group Launches a Mortgage Business
The real estate marketplace announced that it’s launching Zillow Home Loans, a new service that enables its users to shop for mortgages on its platform.
According to a company press release, “home shoppers who want to purchase a Zillow-owned home may use Zillow Home Loans to seamlessly finance their home purchase.”
Zillow Home Loans is the re-named business which was formerly known as Mortgage Lenders of America. which was acquired by Zillow Group in the fall of 2018.
Macy’s Appoints a Chief Supply Chain Officer
The department store chain announced that it has named Dennis Mullahy as its new Chief Supply Chain Officer.
According to a company press release, he will “oversee the entire product journey, including global sourcing, inventory management, store and ecommerce distribution, transportation, indirect procurement, supply chain systems, sustainability and supplier diversity.”
Mullahy previously served as the Execuitve Vice President of Supply Chain and IT at Michael’s Stores, Inc.
