7-Eleven Partners with Apple Pay and Google Pay

The company announced that it will be supporting the mobile payment providers at most of its US-based stores later this month.

The move looks to help deliver a frictionless customer experience at over 10,000 locations in the United States.

7-Eleven also announced five new innovations at the company, including a service called 7-Eleven NOW, which “enables on-demand ordering of products from local 7-Eleven stores” and 7Rewards, an “app-based customer loyalty program.”


Snapchat’s Chief Strategy Officer Leaves the Company

The company announced that Imran Khan will leave Snap to pursue other opportunities. According to Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, Khan will leave the company to launch a technology investment firm.

According to a filing made with the SEC, Khan’s last day has not been determined and he will continue to serve as Chief Strategy Officer until the company finds a replacement.


Uber Hires a Former Coca-Cola Exec to Lead its Global Marketing Strategy

The company announced that Rebecca Messina will join the ride-sharing company as its global Chief Marketing Officer.

According to an Uber news release, Messina joins the company from “Beam Suntory, where she has served as global Chief Marketing Officer since 2016.

Prior to Beam Suntory, she spent 22 years at The Coca-Cola Company, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Innovation for Ventures & Emerging Brands.”
