Office Depot and Alibaba Join Forces to Help US Small Businesses
The business service and supply company announced that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with Alibaba, a China-based technology company.
Both organizations look to leverage each others’ strengths to empower US Small-to-Medium-Sized businesses through a co-branded website.
The collaboration looks to connect Office Depot’s 10 million business account relationships with Alibaba’s supplier network and technology platform.
Comcast Acquires a Cybersecurity Firm
The telecommunications company announced that it has acquired BluVector, a cybersecurity company that leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to help protect large government agencies and Fortune 500 companies against cyber threats.
According to a press release, both companies plan to collaborate on growing BluVector’s existing business and develop new cybersecurity technologies.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
UPS Looks to Help eCommerce Sellers
The logistics company announced that it’s building UPS eFulfillment, a technology platform combined with fulfillment services that help SMBs easily manage sales across multiple marketplaces.
The new solution looks to assist sellers with the flexibility and speed of order processing, storage, packaging, and shipping.
Under the new offering, sellers can log-on to 21 eCommerce platforms including Wal-Mart, Amazon, Etsy, and eBay.
