GE Sells its BioPharma Business
The multinational conglomerate announced a definitive agreement to sell its BioPharma business to Danaher Corporation for $21.4 billion.
Total consideration includes “$21 billion in cash as well as Danaher’s assumption of certain pension liabilities.”
GE stated in a press release that its BioPharma business provides “instruments, consumables and software that support the research, discovery, process development and manufacturing workflows of biopharmaceutical drugs.”
Roadie Raises New Funds
The crowdsourced delivery company announced that it has raised $37 million from the Home Depot, TomorrowVentures, and others.
The Atlanta-based company, which was founded in 2015, works with retailers, airlines, and grocers to provide same-day and last-mile deliveries across the United States through its peer-to-peer delivery service.

The consulting services firm announced that it’s building a new initiative that will help “promote ethical and environmentally mindful practices across the supply chain”.
The collaboration provides producers, manufacturers, and retailers with the capability to reduce waste, create better transparency across the supply chain, ensure the authenticity of produce, and provide producers with more-equitable compensation.
According to a company press release, the initiative combines “blockchain, digital identity and payments technologies to allow customers to identify individual producers who use sustainable methods and financially reward them with a “tip” made by direct payment.”
