US Bank Hires a New Chief Digital Officer
The financial services company announced that it has appointed Derek White to lead its newly formed digital team.
He will be reporting to Andy Cecere, the company’s chairman, president and CEO. He previously served as the global head of client solutions with BBVA in Spain.
According to a company press release, White will focus on “enterprise-wide digital strategy, including innovation, digital products, development, omnichannel and Agile initiatives.”
Starbucks Looks to Power 360 Stores with Solar Energy
The coffee company announced that it’s working with Cypress Creek Renewables, “a leading developer, investor, builder and operator of solar energy generating assets in regulated and deregulated markets across the United States.”
The move looks to power Starbucks stores in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano and Arlington.
Starbucks also announced that it’s “separately investing in six Cypress Creek-owned solar farms in Texas, representing 50 megawatts of solar energy.”
Mastercard Looks to Bring More Transparency into Amazon Business Purchases
The financial services company announced that it’s helping commercial cardholders gather more enhanced data on their Amazon Business transactions.
According to a company press release, the feature looks to offer businesses with a “detailed understanding of each line-item, such as item description, price and relevant tax information, for all Amazon Business purchases.”
The product is currently available to commercial clients in “Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States.”
