Cathay Pacific Announces a Data Breach

The airline announced a data breach which affected up to 9.4 million people.

The breach leaked personal data which included: passenger names, nationalities, passport numbers, and dates of birth.

The company is currently in the process of contacting affected passengers.

Honda Teams up with Soundhound

Soundhound, an audio and speech recognition company announced that it’s partnering with Honda to develop a voice-enabled artificial intelligence assistant.

According to a Soundhound company blog post, the assistant will be powered by Soundhound’s Houndify platform and will allow users to “engage in natural conversations with the assistant using their voice.”

The move looks to help enhance the Honda driving experience with voice-assist technology.

Nintendo Expands into Schools

The company announced that it’s partnering with the “Institute of Play to bring Nintendo Labo to schools across U.S.”

Nintendo Labo kits introduce the basic principles of “science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics” in an engaging and innovative way.

The program will run during the 2018/2019 school year and will be available to 100 U.S. classrooms between grades 2 to 4.
