Spotify announced that it’s acquiring Gimlet Media, a digital podcast network, and Anchor, a podcasting creation and distribution platform.
The deal looks to help the Spotify offer original and differentiated content to its user base.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, however, Recode reports, citing sources familiar with the deal, that the Gimlet transaction is approximately $230 million.
American Express Teams up with Bill.com
The financial services company announced that it’s working with Bill.com in a strategic partnership that lets companies automate their Accounts Payable process to “pay vendors with their American Express® Business or Corporate Card.”
The new offering will be called “American Express “Vendor Pay” by Bill.com” and looks to help users easily reconcile payments, earn rewards, and improve working capital.

The San Francisco-based company announced that it has raised $310 million from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Bain Capital Ventures, and Fidelity Investments.
The new funds will help the company invest in its technology, expand to new markets, and strengthen opportunities for its team and pilot projects. As part of the new funding round, the company stated that it will also make significant investments in rider safety and city collaboration.
The company, which was founded in 2017 currently operates in over 100 locations across 15 countries around the globe.
