Sinclair Broadcast Group Plans to Acquire 21 Regional Sports Networks from Disney
The telecommunications conglomerate announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with the Walt Disney Company to “acquire the equity interests in 21 Regional Sports Networks (the “RSNs”) and Fox College Sports, which were acquired by Disney in its acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox.”
The $10.6 billion deal looks to help diversify Sinclair’s revenue streams and content sources.
Stripe Plans to Establish a Remote Engineering Hub

The financial payments company announced that it plans to launch a remote team to work closely with its global customer base and attract talent outside of San Francisco, Seattle, Dublin, and Singapore.
The company stated that it plans to hire over 100 remote engineers in 2019.
Stripe also stated that it’s looking to hire “remote product managers, engineering managers, and technical program managers later this year.”
Adidas Announces its Q1 Results
The athletic sportswear company announced that “in the first quarter, currency-neutral revenues grew 4%.”
According to a company press release, its “top-line increase was largely driven by double-digit improvements in direct-to-consumer revenues with particularly strong support from e-commerce, where sales grew 40% in the quarter.”
Adidas stated that for 2019, it “continues to expect sales to increase at a rate of between 5% and 8% on a currency-neutral basis.”
