Microsoft Looks to Train 15,000 Workers in Artificial Intelligence Skills

The technology company announced that it’s partnering with General Assembly, a global education provider of technology skills.

According to a company press release, the collaboration looks to “create standards and credentials for AI skills, upskill and reskill 15,000 workers by 2022, and create a pool of AI talent for the global workforce.”

JPMorgan Plans to Acquire InstaMed

The financial services company announced that it plans to acquire InstaMed, a technology company focused on payments in the healthcare sector.

The deal looks to help expand the bank’s payment services offering, specifically for healthcare providers, payers, and consumers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Amazon Invests in Deliveroo
News Release

The London-based on-demand food delivery company announced that it’s raising “a total of $575MM with participation from Amazon alongside existing investors T Rowe Price, Fidelity Management and Research Company, and Greenoaks.”

Amazon is set to lead the round making it the largest investor in the food delivery company’s new funding. The new funds look to help expand its tech team at its United Kingdom headquarters, expand its reach in customer acquisition, and continue to invest in its delivery-only kitchens.

Deliveroo has raised a total of $1.53 billion to date since it was founded in 2013.
