The social media platform announced that Jeremy King, Walmart’s former CTO, will be joining the company as Head of Engineering. King brings expertise in eCommerce development and scaling and building consumer products.
The company also announced plans for its long-anticipated initial public offering. Pinterest aims to list its shares on the New York Stock Exchange. It joins a wave of other tech startups looking to go public this year including, Lyft, Slack, and Zoom.
Shaquille O’Neil Teams up with Papa John’s Pizza
The NBA Hall of Famer and Restauranteur will be joining the company’s Board of Directors and will also invest in 9 Papa John’s restaurants in the greater Atlanta region.
In addition to the announcement, O’Neil will also join the pizza company as an Ambassador assisting with various marketing efforts and initiatives.
Mastercard Expands its City Transit Payment Partnerships
The global payments technology company announced that it’s expanding partnerships with 20 cities in the United States enabling contactless payment solutions for its public transportation systems.
The company already offers its payment technology to 16 metro areas including Los Angeles, Denver, and Boston.
According to a company press release, New York City is expected to enable tap-and-go payments on its transit systems later this year.
