Gillette Partners with TerraCycle to Make All Razors Recyclable Across the United States
The personal care products company announced that it’s teaming up with TerraCycle, a recycling company to make all of its “brands of disposable razors, replaceable-blade cartridge units and razor plastic packaging” recyclable on a national scale.
As part of the partnership, both companies are working together to launch recycling programs that enable users to mail-in their used razors to TerraCycle or send their razors to approved local TerraCycle partners.
The personal genetics company announced that it will “begin offering a new genetic Health Predisposition report on type 2 diabetes.”
Users will receive insights into the likelihood of developing the health condition.
According to estimates from the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention, one in three Americans have prediabetes and more than 90% are unaware that they have the condition.
American Express Plans to Acquire LoungeBuddy
The financial services company announced that it will acquire LoungeBuddy, an airport lounge booking platform.
According to an American Express press release, both companies have been working together since 2017. LoungeBuddy provides ratings, reviews, and booking capabilities on over 1,200 airport lounges around the globe.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed in April 2019.
