Amazon Expands its Air Package Delivery Network
The tech giant announced that it’s expanding its partnership with “Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (ATSG) by leasing an additional 10 aircraft to support Amazon’s growth.”
The new aircraft will add to Amazon’s “air cargo operation over the next two years.”
In 2016, the company first launched its Amazon Air program by leasing “40 Boeing 767 freighter aircraft” which fly “in and out of gateway operations at over 20 airports, making two-day shipping possible almost anywhere in the U.S.”
Zynga Acquires a Mobile Game Studio
The social game developer announced that “it has entered into an agreement to acquire Helsinki-based mobile game studio, Small Giant Games.”
The deal looks to help Zynga expand its game portfolio and add an experienced team that will contribute to the company’s profitability and growth beginning in 2019.
Small Giant is the creator of the hit franchise, Empires and Puzzles which has been downloaded over 26 million times. As part of the deal, “Zynga will acquire 80% of Small Giant for $560 million, comprised of approximately $330 million in cash and $230 million of unregistered Zynga common stock.”
Calvin Klein and Raf Simons Part Ways
The fashion company announced that it is parting ways with Raf Simons.
Simons previously served as the Creative Director at Christian Dior before starting as Calvin Klein’s Chief Creative Officer in 2016.
According to a company press release, the amicable split was based “on a new brand direction which differs from Simons’s creative vision.”
