Publicis Plans to Acquire Epsilon
The multinational advertising and PR firm announced that it has “entered into an agreement with Alliance Data Systems Corporation under which Publicis Groupe will acquire Alliance Data’s Epsilon business.”
The $4.4 billion all-cash deal looks to accelerate the company’s data-driven capabilities and help it become the preferred transformation partner for its clients.
As part of the deal, Publicis looks to benefit from Epsilon’s leadership team, 3 700 data scientists, technology teams and artificial intelligence experts.
Coinbase Launches a Visa Debit Card
The digital currency exchange announced that its users will be able to fund their Coinbase Visa debit card with their Coinbase cryptocurrency account balance.
According to the company, cardholders will be able to pay with contactless, PIN or withdraw cash from an ATM.
The company also states that Coinbase card users will be able to track secure spending through an iPhone or Android app.
Chevron Acquires Andarko for $33 Billion
The multinational energy company announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Anadarko Petroleum Corporation.
According to a company press release, the $33 billion stock and cash deal will help “enhance Chevron’s already advantaged Upstream portfolio and further strengthen its leading positions in large, attractive shale, deepwater and natural gas resource basins.”
