Nike Rolls Out a New Concept Store

The company launched a new concept store in Los Angeles on Thursday called Nike by Melrose.

The new store is designed to be a retail and service hub for local NikePlus members.

The location and the product assortment of Nike by Melrose were selected using insights gained from NikePlus member activity and buying patterns across Nike’s suite of digital touchpoints including, and the Nike App.

Abercrombie will launch co-branded events and pop-up shops at select global sbe properties.

Additionally, members of Abercrombie’s loyalty program, will have access to special benefits across sbe’s hotels, restaurants and entertainment venues.

The partnership is expected to roll out over the coming months.

Apple Announces a New Energy Fund

The company announced on Thursday that it will launch a fund in China that looks to connect suppliers with renewable energy sources.

Apple will join 10 initial suppliers and jointly invest nearly $300 million over the next four years into the China Clean Energy Fund.

The fund looks to invest in and develop clean energy projects totaling more than 1 gigawatts of renewable energy in China which is the equivalent of powering nearly 1 million homes.

Uber Teams up with Venmo

Both companies announced on Thursday that they’re teaming up to deliver new payment methods available with Uber and Uber Eats.

Uber customers in the United States ordering rides and food will be able to split the cost with friends and family in the Venmo app.

The new payment method will be available to US-based Uber customers in the coming weeks.

Casper Lets You Take a Nap for $25

The mattress startup opened a storefront in New York that charges customers $25 for a 45-minute nap.

Customers will be able to use Casper beds, and have access to amenities including complementary pajamas.

The storefront will be called the Dreamery which is located close to its retail location. The company stated that it may also look at placing the nap space in offices and airports.
