Visa Looks to Help US Small Businesses Reach Customers on Yelp

The financial services company announced that it’s working with Yelp, a local-search service platform, to offer US-based small and medium-sized businesses with exclusive advertisement benefits if they use their “Visa Business credit or debit card to purchase Yelp Ads.”

According to the company, businesses who spend a monthly minimum of $150 on Yelp Ads will receive an additional $50 towards Yelp advertisements per month.

The Chan Zuckerberg Foundation announced that it will work with a group of organizations including the San Francisco Foundation, Facebook, and the Ford Foundation to launch a fund called the Partnership for the Bay’s Future.

The fund looks “to address the regional affordable housing crisis” in the Bay Area of San Francisco.

According to the fund’s website, the partnership looks to “increase affordable housing and ensure vibrant communities of racial equity and economic inclusion.”


Unilever Acquires a Plant-based Food Company

The consumer goods company announced that it is acquiring The Vegetarian Butcher, a plant-based meat company based in the Netherlands.

The acquisition looks to help Unilever expand into growing trends surrounding the vegan and vegetarian meal market.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
