NEC Acquires Denmark’s Largest IT Company
The Japanese multinational provider of IT and network technologies announced that it has acquired KMD Holding for “approximately 8 billion Danish Kroner from Advent International, one of the world’s largest and most experienced private equity investors.”
The deal looks to help NEC with its “strategic ambitions within the public sector”.
The transaction is expected to close by February 2019.
Amazon Plans to Open a Fulfillment Center in Mississippi
The tech giant announced that the 554,000-square-foot fulfillment warehouse will be located in the Northern Missippippi area of Marshall County.
It “will create 850 full-time jobs” where employees will be focused on picking, packing, and shipping consumer goods.
AMC Theatre’s Membership Program Sees Growth
The movie exhibition company announced that its AMC Stubs A-List program, a program that allows its members to “see up to 3 movies every week in any format, including IMAX® and Dolby Cinema,” has surpassed 600,000 members since it first launched 6-months ago.
The latest membership numbers have exceeded the company goal as it initially expected to reach 500,000 members after the first year of launching.
The Stubs A-List pass rivals other membership services such as MoviePass and Sinemia.
