UPS Invests in a Self-Driving Truck Company
The logistics company announced that it’s taking a minority stake in TuSimple, an autonomous driving company.
The investment was made by the company’s venture capital arm, UPS Ventures.
As part of the investment, both firms will be testing autonomous tractor trailers on a route in Arizona to see if the vehicles can improve efficiency in the UPS Network.
Southwest Expands its Service to Hawaii
The carrier announced that it will add service to, from, and within Hawaii starting mid-January 2020.
According to a company press release, daily service will be from Sacramento International Airport and Honolulu.
Apple’s Job Footprint Reaches 2.4 Million
The technology company announced that it supported and created 2.4 million US jobs across 50 states.
According to a company press release, Apple stated that it’s on pace to directly contribute $350 billion to the US economy by 2023.
